What makes this special CD unique is that it lets you build on your savings by adding to them in $500+ increments - without having to extend your maturity date. The opening deposit is just $2,500, and interest is paid at maturity instead of being compounded. Which means that even if market rates fall, yours won't. If rates rise, you can convert to the higher rate once during the 1-year term with changing the maturity date. If rates remain unchanged, any additions you've made will receive a one-year rate for a shorter-term deposit.

 Interest is not compounded and is paid at maturity.

Limitations

 Early withdrawal penalty equal to 90 days interest on the amount of the principal withdrawal.

You may make withdrawals of principal from your account before maturity only if we agree at the time you request the withdrawal. Principal withdrawn before maturity is included in the amount subject to early withdrawal penalty.
